• The standard depth of a septic tank is 18 inches –this is code. If your tank was installed deeper that 18 inches we need to charge an additional fee for the extra work that is involved in unearthing the tank. If the septic tank if it is under a deck or covered with concrete and or landscaping , there may additional charges for accessing the Septic Tank. There should never be anything covering a septic tank.
  
• Your septic tank should be pumped and inspected every three to five years. When tanks have not been properly maintained they will build up solids or sludge. In order to remove them from the home owners Septic Tank the solids have to be physically broken up and liquefied by means of power equipment (Crust Buster). The Crust Buster used inside the tank before they can be pumped from your septic tank. The extra sludge in the tank creates excessive wear on the pump causing expensive repairs to the pump.. In addition, the solid waste have to be manual extracted from the Septic Truck Tank. There will be additional charges for any other services that are not related to the actual pumping of the septic tank. These items include but are not limited to the servicing of the line from the house to the tank, repairs that may be needed to the tank, or repairs that may be needed to the field line system.
